Pressed buttons and progress bar looks bad

I have Fedora 14 64 bit installed and fully upgraded on my desktop pc with nvidia GeForce 8400 GS graphic card.
All work fine, except the aspect of pressed buttons and progress bars.

Thanks for help.

I'm having the exact same problem. What theme are you using?

I'm using Sonar-blue (a murrine theme). I haven't been able to find a tweak to fix this yet.

Re: Pressed buttons and progress bar looks bad

I believe this can be fixed by compiling and updating to the latest kernel and updating the Nvidia driver to the latest version(RPMFusion).

Thank you for your reply. Do you mean the 2.6.36.2 kernel, or 2.6.35.9 from the updates repo? Also is there a particular version of the nvidia drivers I should be using? I'm currently running the latest from their website (not rpmfusion).

Yes, the 2.6.36.2 kernel and as for the driver, many has recommend to use the RPMFusion's build.

Re: Pressed buttons and progress bar looks bad

I use the default fedora theme, and I have kernel 2.6.35.9-64.fc14.x86_64
Compile the kernel?! Sincerly I hope that the fedora staff compile it for me and close various bugs of fedora 14...
I waiting for an serious update.

Re: Pressed buttons and progress bar looks bad

Ah, sorry for the misinformation. You need to use the Nvidia official build, instead of RPMFusion, as RPMFusion is still not updated.

Re: Pressed buttons and progress bar looks bad

I was already using the latest Nvidia drivers straight from Nvidia.

Going to 2.6.36.2 didn't help (seemed like a long shot anyway). Any other ideas?

Nvidia released 260.19.29 yesterday, same issue with this newer driver (previously I was using 260.19.21).
