Help needed in resizing home partition

Hello everyone ....

iam new to fedora and linux ...... i installed fedora kde 32 bit .... and iam realy loving it ....

but i want to resize my home partition as i got a message there is no space in my home folder

i downloaded a Disk utility application .... to try and resize .... but looks like i dont know what to do

iam realy a noob so if someone wud like to help attached a snapshot

i guess i should repartition all the disk.and reinstall fedora . cuz it says have many bad sectors

Well, re-installing isn't such a bad thing for a newly installed system. Only your time will be lost. And you could choose another partitioning layout that you like better. But I think I also would download Western Digital's diagnostic software and run that on the hard drive just to see what it says about it. If it passes those tests, then I would re-install.

P.S.: If you are already wanting to resize your logical volumes, then consider this if you do re-install. Consider installing Fedora in standard ext3 or ext4 partitions instead of LVM physical and logical volumes. Maybe /boot, /home, and / partitions of whatever size you want. I like a single / partition for everything. Whatever, but you don't really need the added complexity of LVM at this point. IMO. Only a recommendation to take or leave.

Thank you very much for replying , actualy i let Fedora chosoe what is best for it , as i said iam not a noob


i will see what can i do about that ... gonna read more about partitions before reinstalling .....and ofcorse your PS and recommandation will help ....
