Re: Installing driver for GT 330M from RPMFusion

It is a bug in livna-config-display, see Leigh's guide for some further info.
If you have xorg.conf the drivers will still be loaded and you can ignore the message. If you don't have one see the first post in Leigh's nvidia thread, link in my signature.

Re: Installing driver for GT 330M from RPMFusion

i resolved the problem with this message:
i completely reinstalled fc14 and now, nouveau drivers work perfectly.
Nvidia Drivers (blacklisting nouveau driver) does NOT work!
I have a black screen instead a gdm screen and the pc doesn't get any command.
I have NO errors in boot sequence.

Re: Installing driver for GT 330M from RPMFusion

i have similar problem asus notebook 335m:
drivers does not working (livna-config-display different problem and it solved for me now, by latest package upgrade), i have a black screen after reboot if installed driver from offical nvidia site and can not login even by ctrl+alt+f2. And have error in Xorg.0.log about "Devices not detected", "Screens not found". And in some cases error like /dev/nvidia0 input output error). In /var/log/messages no errors about nvidia - driver loaded, pci device initialized.
vmalloc=256 and irqpoll do not help

ps: modeset.nouveau=0 rdblacklist=nouveau simple disable loading nouveau after boot and in F14 it adding to grub automatically (if driver install from repo, not from nvidia site)

i think it something in intel chipset or nvidia 3xxm series

ps2: intel integrated card work fine ( if i disable nouveau, i have loaded i915 driver in lsmod and X loaded without nouveau, but and without nvidia driver)

Re: Installing driver for GT 330M from RPMFusion

the problem is not solved yet.

i have now kernel 2.6.35.9
akmod-nvidia-1:260.19.21-1

Sony Vaio F12 Series
Intel i7 - nvidia geforce 330M
4 GB DDR3

P.S. the video card worked perfectly with the previous version of driver

Re: Installing driver for GT 330M from RPMFusion

The 260.19.26 beta drivers fixed the problem, you'll just have to wait for the next driver release to appear in rpmfusion.

Re: Installing driver for GT 330M from RPMFusion

After Install Kernel Update 2.6.35.10 and akmod-nvidia for this kernel all works fine without any particular configuration!
then i installed kmod-nvidia for this kernel and it work so fine.

Good Job

Gabriele
