Unhappy F15 Acer Apire One Mic Issue.

I've had an Acer Aspire One D250 for a couple of years now, and have had very little luck getting the microphone to work under any GNU/Linux distribution, and as usual a new install leads to a new round of hopeing that someone has a clue how to resolve this problem.

On a fresh install of Fedora 15 (just yesterday) I gave both the Google voice plugin and Audacity a shot, and neither one seemed able to get anything from the bulitin mic. I go to input under sound settings in gnome and I see nothing on the "input level" bar no matter how loudly I speak into the Mic.

I'm reasonably sure there is no problem with the mic as I've always had simular issues under other distro's and no issues when using windows XP on the same netbook.

Any thoughts? Anyone have a D250 on F15 and already resolved this problem? Anyone have the same config and not experiencing this problem at all? Anything would be appreciated.
