dnsmasq for dhcp to setup dns

Is dnsmasq important for dhcp to setup dns?

You can use dnsmasq as a dns server, a dhcp server, one, the other, or both.

You have multiple threads on what seems like a similar issue.

My first suggestion is that you use Network Manager. When setting your connection up, use DHCP only, and enter your DNS servers



dnsmask is likewise rather easy to set up. The configuration files are "easy" , see if this helps:
