Question what firewall use - confusion

Dear Members

I used to work with FC since release 1 and I always used FireStarter like my firewall control since release 4 or 5.

I just installed in my other PC FC 15 and I did realize it comes with system-config-firewall 1.2.29 by default. I have none reference about this firewall

I have these doubts

1) what is better Firestarter or system-config-firewall and why?

2) I just checked the firestarter download page for fedora and seems not exists support. The last available is from 2009.
Therefore
Should I ignore or avoid FireStarter?

3) should I consider other firewall option that could be better than the both mentioned?. If yes, could you suggest me one?

Thanks in advanced for your valuables replies

Best Regards

Difficult question - it is just a matter of taste, which one of this yo use - both GUI for iptables firewall, so if you find that you prefer firestarter - use it.

May be - but it hasn't gui - use iptables directly, without GUI - it might be a bit difficult at the beginnig, but after a while - you would even think to use one of GUI tools -)

There is only one firewall and that is in the kernel stack - the iptables (used to be ipchains) feature.

FireStarer and s-c-firewall are just user-inteface tools to iptables and a few stack switches.
I'm sure these and others have variant features that distinguish them, but they are both
adequate for most basic setups.

Use whichever is most convenient and does the job.

I am more worry about security.
I assume one of them is more powerful or is just simply both GUI options?

About the bold part, could you share or suggest me your best tutorials to learn please?
