Internet is sporadic, disconnects often

Hello everyone,

Lately I have had some problems with my internet connection. Sometimes it runs acceptably, at around 500 kBps, but oftentimes it will go straight to hell, with speeds measured in the bytes per second, ping times at around 10 seconds, and frequent disconnects. Dialup would be better. Obviously this is very hard to live with. All the other computers on my wireless network have had no problems. I have no idea what is going on, nor how I might fix it.

I don't know how many of these are necessary, but it can't hurt to have more information. I'm running Fedora 16 XFCE by the way.
