Newbie Processing Problem

Hi, I am new to linux, just installed a copy of 64 on my machine. I have a 4-core phenom ii 960 processor. Problem is, I am going to install a 96 MB .run driver file for my GPU, but it is taking a SCARY long time.

Any tips?

Nevermind, problem solved. For those interested, I was watching my computer process the program through gedit
*facepalm*
