Sanity Check on repositories

Hi

I've just tried to install snort and it isn't available.

Now I know that I can get this directly from the snort site but I'm surprised its not in the standard repos.

As I've not been able to install a few things I'm thinking that there might be a repository that I need to add.

I'm running Fedora 16 and have the following repos

Adobe
Fedora 16 -i386
Fedora 16 -x86_64
Fedora 16 -x86_64 Updates
google chrome
RPM Fusion Free
RPM Fusion Free Updates
RPM Fusion Non Free
RPM Fusion Non Free Updates

Anyone suggest any better repos or is there something with snort for instance that means that its not included?

Thanks for any help

Al

Why do you have both i386 and x86_64 repos enabled?

Nevermind. A deeper look tells me there is in fact no help there.

Re: Sanity Check on repositories

thanks for the reply.

logcheck will analyse snort files so isn't quite what i'm looking for. Wormux is a game.

i've noticed a few packages missing, like hydrogen, which seems strange as they are a few years old. That's why i thought there was another 3rd party repo that may have these in them.

I have i386 and x86_64 repos because i have X-Plane installed and that is still currently 32 bit and needs certain openGL and openal packages.

I'll keep looking
