how 389 directory server syn with window AD to reduce window license cal

Hi All,

Anybody know how about the idea of 389 server syn with window AD can reduce window license cal.

e.g : i have 1 window AD AND 100 user so i need 100 cal for user. if i add-on 1 389 directory server in above environment, how many cal i needed and how ?
