VNC Server Fedora 14 Not Displaying Correctly

I have a Fedora 14 machine as a Server at work. I am trying to set up vncserver so that I can connect to it from my home machine which is a windows 7 box. I went through http://stevejenkins.com/blog/2010/11...-the-internet/
and configured everything as he said. I can connect, but what displays is the desktop of my machine and 2 notification boxes pop up that I can't read because the messages are showing as rectangles. I have done this once before with my home fedora box without issue and I am not sure where to go from here.

Does anyone have an idea as to what I can do? Let me know what information you still need from me.

Thank you

Did you setup ~/.vnc/xstartup file?
