Unhappy Stuttering fullscreen video on Totem in F16

When playing video fullscreen in totem, the video is stuttering and choppy, but is fine when played in a window.

I've also noticed that this seems to only affect Intel integrated graphics since my laptop (with nvidia card) does not have this problem.

Also, the problem seems to go away when I downgrade to the previous totem (from F15), but my plugins don't work anymore and it crashes a lot.

Does anyone have this problem? I prefer totem over other players because of the plugins (subtitle downloader, etc.)

A similar problem has been reported in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=129151

I've filed a bug report but am hoping someone knows of a solution

I think I may have found a workaround that reduces the problem

Place the following two lines in /etc/environment

CLUTTER_PAINT=disable-clipped-redraws:disable-culling
CLUTTER_VBLANK=True

I got this from this forum post

Hi.

How is this problem going? Are you still experiencing stuttering in Totem? I'm getting stuttering, and no playback at all, with VLC, MPlayer and Xine, when playing 720p on a HP laptop. It's driving me nuts.

I've got a post here.
