[SOLVED] Can't access login on Fedora 15

Dear all,

Please help me, because i can't access login on Fedora 15, although the password is typed correct. and the screen appears again to type password and again type password.


please, consultant for me to setup the configuration about BIOS to setup Fedora 15 by the best way?,

my computer: Intel core (TM) i7 - 2600; CPU@3.4GHz; speed: 1.6MHz; Core: 8; Total: (Ram): 3.1 GiB; Free: 1.4(GiB)+1.3GCache

Have you accidently mixed the passwords ROOT <!> USER ?
Capslock by chance?

If its a Desktop/Tower, you dont need any BIOS password, unless the company ask for it.
If it is a Netbook, Laptop or Tablet (mobile devices) you should attain a bios password.

At the login screen, press ctrl+alt+f2, login as root on cosole, and type "passwd USERNAME" to change the password for the user you have issues to login.

if that doesnt work:
Reboot to GRUB selection, hit "e" on the selected line to boot during GRUB's screen.
At the end of the line starting with something similar like : "linux /boot/vmlinuz-3.2.6-3.fc16.x86_64 root=UUID=..."
Type (add) "1" at the end of that line, hit F10 to boot the modified boot selection.
Then try to change the users password with : "passwd USERNAME"

Then reboot as usual.

thanks, when i use the first way, i can access user name, but i can't use command line, ls or mc ...but when i change to login as root, i can access into and use these command lines

i have changed the password. however, i can't access into my user name from graphic interface.

the second question?: Do you know the way to copy the database? because when i login as the root, it don't recognize USB port.

Dear all,

there is an error on my computer when i install fedora: "GNOME3 failed to load, unfortunately GNOME3 failed to start properly and started in the fallback mode - This most likely means your system (graphics hardware or drive) is not capable of delivering the full GNOME3 experience". however, the configure of my computer is good. Can you tell me why and how to repaire?
