Angry Trouble with several things after the last 2 rounds of F16 updates

First, Network manager has gone flakey ... again
Second, Firefox 12 may or may not have gone to the dark side ... and

... I'm not sure which package to blame this one on, and therefore not sure how to file the bug report against it, but my photo cards always mount as read-only now. <..(insert angry/disgusted/peevish smiley here)..>

Being this close to the release of F17, I had unwisely assumed that updates to F16 would be reasonably safe.

Not so much. <....>

Anyone else having issues with mounting photo cards read-only?

Re: Trouble with several things after the last 2 rounds of F16 updates

I'm not seeing any problems with NetowrkManager on either of my F16 systems (desktop and laptop). Earlier this morning on the laptop (F16.i686) I swallowed the whole enchilada from updates-testing repo, then rebooted right away. No sign of any trouble (first check was did I have internet since it's connected via wireless).

I had installed:

firefox-12.0-1.fc16.x86_64
thunderbird-12.0-1.fc16.x86_64
xulrunner-12.0-1.fc16.x86_64

from koji prior to them hitting the update repos. Though I'm mostly using google-chrome-stable these days, I did discover that firefox 12 has a serious issue...it won't save a bookmark, at least not in the normal way. I go through the usual motions, click the "done" button, but there is no bookmark saved. I found I have to click on "Show all Bookmarks", click on "History" > "Today", then right-click on the page listed that just failed to bookmark, select "Bookmark this page", which brings up the usual Bookmark save dialog box, except that instead of the "Done" button, it's got a "Save" button, which works.

I'll bet we'll be seeing a bug-fix release real soon.

I'm having many problems with Firefox 12, like:
I'm experimenting a lot of crashes related to flash-player;

I don't know the correct reason, but it worked ...

flash keeps crashing on F16

Flash keeps crashing on F16 64 causing Firefox to stall.

Does anyone have a solution for this yet? How did you remove nspluginwrapper?

Thanks

Re: Trouble with several things after the last 2 rounds of F16 updates

I was running the 32 bit edition. Just removed the file nspluginwrapper.
Now I'm running Fedora 17 64 bit without further problems ...
Anyway I disabled the hardware acceleration.
