kopete and pidgin video voice configuration

Ive been trying to get my video and voice working in either kopete or pidgin to use with yahoo but havent had much luck

How can i debug kopete and pidgin to see if there is some problem

My cam is seen in kopete my voice is heard in pidgin

when using kopete and trying to use it for video and voice i can see other peoples cams but mine shows up as a black box to people trying to view

when trying to use pidgin in the conversation tab it has media tab and that leads to the three tabs audio video and audio video call but are not in the normal highlight dark they are the lighter color

I can text chat with all the users without a problem

Is this a firewall problem and if so what port or ports need to be opened so that video and voice will work or is it i still need more software to have them working properly

as far as i know, kopete is the only IM client that you can video and text to yahoo.
pidgin has only text.
i dont know any IM client fully compatible with yahoo. in fact, yahoo dont want to make a version of YM for linux. this is only yahoo's fault!

a workaround to this problem is the web based IM client named: www.imo.im but you must do some flash setting (set allow to www.imo.im)

GYache Improved does not does not support voice as straight as yahoo. you need to join a chatroon.
i nerver used this IM. needles to say that it has an old apperance.
skype is the straight solution for voice chat in linux.

I have tried gyache and get same results no cam
also tried skype i can use the microphone that is in the web cam but not the cam itself
The camera works fine in cheese
works and is seen using the v4l2 test bench?????
reports pac7302 /dev/video0 wrapped ??
i do see an error like this

gspca_main isoc data error len 0 status 18 and status 114??

Not sure exactly what thats about

is there any other info that someone needs to help me figure this out or should i be looking for a new cam ??

and if i should get a new cam can someone recommend one that i wont be pulling all my hairout to get to work properly??

Okay one more time lol

doesnt work in gyach enhanced and doesnt work using skype

it does show this 093a:2620 pixart imaging inc

it does work using cheese

when using the v4l2 test bench i get /dev/video0 wrapped capture method memory mapped 093a:2620 input gspca pac7302

anybody need more info to help solve this
