XFCE - Compiz & Emerald an impossibility?

Hi all,

I've been looking to make my desktop sexy lately. I've been using F16 XFCE spin for about a year now with no issues whatsoever, but I figured may as well make it look flashy with compiz.

But as nice as only compiz looks, I'd like some emerald themes (panel + window border transparency etc.) That would be perfect.

But after looking around for sometime, I found out that emerald isn't in the repos anymore. So I thought I'd install an older version of compiz + emerald from koji. This seemed like a good plan, but one dependency

Code:
error: Failed dependencies:
	libboost_serialization-mt.so.1.46.1()(64bit) is needed by compiz-0.9.4-3.fc16.x86_64
I couldn't find over on Koji, and I couldn't find it after some reasonably extensive Googling.

Anyone know of a way to get emerald to work on F16?
Any help will be much appreciated.

You will need to compile it from srpm (post 12).

The link gives the rpm package for emerald. But now I've got another problem... the libboost-serialization packages are already installed, but newer versions.

Can I remove the newer ones and replace them with older ones? Is that safe?
Or is there another way to do this?

-------------
EDIT:
I didn't see the version differences between the rpm of emerald that I had and this src rpm. I installed the latest compiz through yum, and compiled this and installed it. Works perfectly, thanks!
