Problem with Running Firefox on Codeweavers Emulator on Fedora Core 16

Hi,

I am running Codeweavers Crossover XI on Fedora Core 16. I started to install Firefox on the Firefox 4.x bottle. Mozilla offered upgrade to the latest Windows version, which I think was 11.3, but I don't remember. Always wanting the news verison I did the upgrade. Now when I try to run it everything my cursor goes over turn black and is not viewable. It will show the intial welcome page but when I type in an address in the address bar it goes black. Move the curser over the page view -- it goes black. How do I fix this?

Okay, I have seemed to find one possible solution -- run in safe-mode. What are the consequences of running in safe mode? And are their other solutions?
