Installed Gnome but it\s not a choice on login

Hi.

Using Synaptic I uninstalled several of the RPMs it recomended for removal. After a reboot I have to use KDE because Gnome is no longer an option to use as the Desktop Environment. I checked to be sure I have Gnome still installed and I do. I uninstalled Gnome Desktop 2.8 and upgraded it to 2.10 from rpmfind.net but still no luck.

It should automatically be listed as an option to boot, correct? Is there a way to manually add it? It worked fine until I used Synaptic.

Thank you,

Stephen
