Question cannot find ram disk on book

Thisis my first experience with Linux and i wish to give windows the big A once i am up and running
I have downlaod the 4 iso files for 32 bit x86 system and burnt them to cd using nero
When i try to boof of the first disk I receive a message something along the lines of ' Cannot find find valid ram disk and unable to mount at block 0' ( it continues loading files and this error messgae scrolls of the screen)
It then stops at
[<C01012b1>] kernel_thread_helper t0xs/0x14
I have tried the CD on another computer and no problems it booted and went to the check disk section
all help appreciated
