How: Enable BootLog?

How do you enable a Boot Log? I've looked in Var/Log and bootlog is there but nothing is in it. I need to read an error message at boot, but it goes by too fast.

There was a bug in one of the fedora versions (FC4, I think) that caused the bootlog always to be empty. I don't know if there is a patch for it or not, but your thread deserves a bump!
