Originally I tried the ATI 3d proprietary drivers as that's what i thought would be needed. However I got terrible FPS and couldn't play. So I thought why not give the open3d MESA / radeon driver a try and ..

FPS seem good I need to do more testing (playing
) but have too much important stuff due tomorrow
this is just awesome though the open 3d graphics drivers working how they should be.
