Exclamation help me avoid having to use Vista

I'm looking at getting a new PC from dell.co.uk in the next couple of days and wondered if anyone knew of any known issues with any of this hardware...

Thats all the info I can get on it until after I've bought it. If you know of any of dell's generic parts which has issues I'd really like to know. Also, does anyone know if fedora can support dual core processors? or support fully? (is it the SMP kernel...?)
I do know of the dangers (or what Theo de Raat calls dangers) of the Core 2 Duo, but linus thinks its not really a problem, and if it is a problem it'll be real brown trousers time - so an update to the firmware should follow quickly (or it'll be truly unfixable and we'll all be for it)

Thanks,
Joe

Your system appears to be similar to the ones that Dell is offering with Ubuntu pre-installed. You should be fine.
