Using joypad to play flash games?

I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to linux so I don't even know if this is possible.
But it would be nice to be able to use my joypad to play games on websites such as kongregate or onemorelevel. The joypad is set up and works, all I need it to do is perhaps set it up so that X recognizes "up" to be "w" , "down" to be "s" and so on.

Is this something that can be done?
