Monitor Asterisk using SNMP

I have correctly installed Fedora 8, net-SNMP, Asterisk. Now I want to monitor Asterisk using net-SNMP. I went on with the process of setup as written by Mark Spencer. But it is not working. Am new to Fedora. Can someone please tell me the process on how to monitor asterisk using net-snmp on Fedora 8.

Thank you.
