How to make yumex work faster?

I don't understand why every time I install packages it must refresh it's repositories immediately after that.
And why every time the update takes 100 percent of my cpu and that slow....

any help with this?

It's YUM that does that, not just yumex. If you use the command-line yum you'll see that the same thing occurs; yumex is a 'gui' that overlays the core program but doesn't modify it's operation.

ok, I see yumex is only a gui for yum, but still is there a way to to prevent yum from refreshing the list after installation?

LOL - well if there is, I haven't found it! It's one thing I'd like to see changed too.
