How do i put a forum on my website?

Right now i am using frontpage to create my website. What i want to do is to have a forum that people can get to when they go to a certain place on my website called forum. How do i get a forum? What do i need to do? I want to use freeware too!

Open source and a good forum software. It may not be the best but is stable and powerful enought to handle your needs. My only advice would be to drop Frontpage, even notepad is better than that program (Only MS program I hate).

Basically you will need to create a MySQL database (your host should provide one unless you are on free hosting or really cheap hosting), then you will upload the contents of the zip file to a folder in your server (or the root directory if you want the forum to be your main page) after that just follow the installation procedures from your browser...

Do i need to select the DSN option when i create the mysql database?
