Buffer I/O Error Right After Installing FC5

Hi,
I am running FC5 on a Toshiba M35-S456 Laptop and during the first boot, and subsequent trial boots I got a Buffer I/O error from device /hda6, which corresponds to my ext3 /home partition. I went to the /var/log/messages file and extracted the following error messages:

Despite this error the system seems to be working just fine ... I would like to find out what this is about ... should I worry about it?

Thanx.
