FC5 Install on Magicstor Microdrive CF

Hi:
I'm trying to install FC5 on a VIA Eden ESP733 motherboard, using a Magicstor 2.2GB Compact Flash 2.2GB microdive as the only disk drive. When the actual intall starts I get the following annaconda error: "SystemError: vgcreate failed for VolGroup00".

I can install FC5 on this hardware using a normal HD fine. Booting off the normal HD I can then make a ext3 FS on the microdive (/dev/hdc), mount it, write files to it, the works. What I can't do is install FC5 directly on to it. I get the same result if I install from a CD-ROM, or from a freshly downloaded NFS install. FYI, I boot the install disk with 'linux text ide=nodma'.

Any ideas how I can install FC5 directly onto a microdrive?

I know its bad form to answer my own post, but the fix was to boot with the params 'ide=nodma idebus=40'. This slows the driver down enough so that the microdrive can keep up.
