"Metadata file does not match chucksum" keeps coming up when trying to install software from repository. What does this mean?

Hello:
It means that that you need to run yum clean all or yum clean metadata or yum clean dbcache. This should resolve the error you are getting.
I believe the error occurs as a result of the metadata getting out of sync?
