Nvidia driver installation problems

I recently downloaded and installed the newest nvidia driver from nvidia's site, and now I cannot run glxgears. I get this message:

[will@galatia ~]$ glxgears
glxgears: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/tls/libnvidia-tls.so.1: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied

Any help would be appreciated.
