VMware makes me crazy

i'm glad that i successfully update my kernel but i'm having this kind of problemo when i'm tring to install VMware

i have read a lot of thread...... pls help me

do you have a dual core (amd x2, intel core2duo etc) or hyperthreading processor (pentium4) running the smp kernel?

what does "uname -a" say?

you need to run "yum -y install kernel-devel" or "yum -y install kernel-smp-devel" depending on if you have a single processor or smp machine.

there's nothing wrong with the directory......
i've been upgrading my kernel.....without proper knowledge i run make xconfig to config the kernel...... my kernel was damaged....
i'm so lucky that i'm saving my previous kernel. then i download the updated kernel.....and then i reinstall the kernel.......finally i managed to install vmware.....

but rite know i'm having problem with my auto usb detection... i can mount the usb pendrive but cannot open and it said permission denied... dont know why?
