Sound Card Detection

Fedora Core 5 did not detect my sound card. it said it couldn't automatically detect my sound card. I saw the sound card in my system.it is genius.
Please help me. I can't hear to music since it can't detect my soundcard.

I had problems with my onboard sound card at first. I dit full upgrade with yum. Downloading took 4 hours. Now sounds are working.

I have still problem withh connectors. There are two mic and audio outs jacks in my Antec. I can use mic from front panel and audio out from rear panel. Mic from rear and audio out from front panel doesn't work.

So Do I have to upgrade with yum? I am using dial-up which means It will take even more time.

I cannot say would it be helpful or not. I'm not an expert but a dummy home user.
