I need help installing a Sierra 580 Aircard

I need help installing a Sierra 580 Aircard. i am new and would appricate any help????what do i have to do to install it and get it to work??

I was looking into some of the same stuff and came across these pages:

The first seems to indicate that in order to activate the card, you must use Windows to get some information out of it. Then it links to a couple files that I haven't checked out yet. The second link confirms some info I got from a friend who has a friend (hence, my searching for confirmation before purchasing) that works with Sprint and said he uses one under Ubuntu.
