Kernel Panic - New Adaptec SAS Raid

Hey guys,
I'm installing new system with the Adaptec 4805SAS card on the new FC6 image. I have 4 72GB drives configured in a raid10 setup. Standard installation for a server box. The installer picks up and formats the array no problem, creates the partitions (LVM), and completes the install. However, on first boot I throw a kernel panic.

VFS: Cannot open root device “VolGroup00/LogVol00” or unknown-block (0,0)
Please append a correct “root=” boot option
Kernel Panic – not syncing : VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown block (0,0)

Grub looks like this:
Root (hd0,0)
Kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.17-1.2630.fc6 ro root=/dev/sda3 rhgb quiet

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

Matt

This is also a dual proc x86_64 machine if that makes any difference (however I don't think so)
