How to identify devices

Hi all,

I know /dev/hd[a-d]- refers to IDE devices
/dev/sd[a-z] - refers to SCSI devices

When i tried to install EL 4 on HP Proliant DL 380 box, hard disk is identified as

/dev/cciss/c0d0p2 - what this means.

and How SATA hard disks are identified in OS.
