New FC6: File Systems Mount RO/Sendmail & cups Won't Start/Python Probs and More

* When I divvied my disk, I created

/
/boot
/opt
/tmp
/usr
/var
/var/log
/var/spool

Well, what I got was

/
/boot
/opt
/tmp
/usr
/var

There's no /var/log or /var/spool

There is a mention in the startup messages about how /dev/hda7 and /dev/hda5 is being mounted read-only.

---

Also, many things won't start. While booting I see the following have failed to start:

cups
sendmail

and I am getting a ton of python messages

----
I have run through the install eight times this weekend trying different variations. This was the best its come out of all of the attempts but its unuseable as a server. I suspect quite a few kinks need to be worked out. Kudos to all who are putting their heart and sole into this release--it still has a bit to go.

Here's the whole demsg in case anyone can benefit from it.

Why did you create:

/var/log
/var/spool

They are created automatically under

/var

Because in the past I have run out of space on /var when mail or log files get too big and effectively shut down MySQL.
