Flash Player Problem

Trying to install the flash player for firefox. Have installed the package and ran the install file from the command line. Install sdays its completed successfully and all the files appear to be in the /usr/lib/mozzilla directory. However, when I run firefox and try to open a video it says I still need to install flashplayer. Any ideas where I went wrong?

Thanks
