Can't find wireshark

I just installed wireshark and the installation was successful.

However, I can't find it. When I do "which wireshark", it isn't in my path.

I don't know where yum installed it into.

Please help.

I remember this happening as well (fc5) and I checked the output carefully and it (wireshark) had a filesize of 0. This was quite a while ago and I eventually got it taken care of. I'm surprised it's happening again (or still happening?).

EDIT: I see you have a file size of 8.8MB so it's not the same problem

You probably want the gui, no? If so, execute "yum install wireshark-gnome".

To find the wireshark binary (mine is at /usr/bin/wireshark), use slocate. First update your database, then run locate.

updatedb
locate wireshark
