Unhappy rpmdb

I recently did an update on FC6, and since then I have received this error when I have done an update....

rpmdb: PANIC: fatal region error detected: run recovery

Does anyone have any idea why and how to do the recovery?

Delete old rpmdb and generate a new one.

Great job guys and gals......

this forum has always came through when I needed something fixed and didn't understand it!

I appreciate everyone that has helped now and in the past...my hat goes off to this forum community...
