Borne Again Linux User, Basic Sendmail Configuration

I am running PHP-Nuke 7.6 with 2.022 PHPBB on a Fedora Core 6 box..

I am having some difficulty getting my sendmail to work. I used to be able to know how to set it up, but it has been a while and I am floundering.

Here is what /var/log/maillog tells me:

Jan 6 16:07:36 specialopsdivision sendmail[5204]: l06L7a1O005204: from=apache, size=732, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<200701062107.l06L7a1O005204@specialopsdivis ion.us>, relay=apache@localhost
Jan 6 16:07:36 specialopsdivision sendmail[5204]: l06L7a1O005204: to=specialopsdivisionsniper@yahoo.com, ctladdr=apache (48/48), delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, pri=30732, relay=[127.0.0.1] [127.0.0.1], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection refused by [127.0.0.1]

Can someone point me in the right direction??

Thanx

Michale

Moved.

For one thing, you don't seem to be running a mail server on localhost, it's getting refused.

Thanx for the move.. Much appreciated..

OK, I have made some progress.. I think...

I am getting a different error.. And, as Bill Murray said in GroundHog Day, "Anything different is good."

This is an activation email generated by PHPNuke... The one thing I catch is that it says USER UNKNOWN, but I know the email address is valid..
