No sound on Asus P5B deluxe in fc6

I have installed FC6 on Asus P5b deluxe with ICH8 with Ati Fire MV 2400 .
There is no sound?
System-config-sound show driver is snd-hda-intel but when I play there is no sound.
So what is problem? is ICH8 is not supportted?

or
Code:
alsamixer
Switches: External Amplifiert must be enabled

my P5BVM works right out the box, but the build-in network card needs a driver. Go to ASUS's website, there should be downloads for the NIC and Sound card drivers.

Website's official driver is too old .
We are trying with new kernel 2.6.19.2 .
Let hope this will work fine .

That is quite odd since I have the same motherboard and sound works fine for me. Do you have the sound card cable in the correct connector? Are you using analog out or digital out? I am using analog. If you are using digital, hook up analog speakers and see if that helps.

Also, what kernel version are you using? I am using 2.6.19-1.2895.fc6 which you can get from testing. So far, I haven't noticed any issues with the testing kernel. I have read that you need at least kernel 2.6.18 in order for the P965 boards to function under Linux.

You can get kernel 2.6.19 from Fedora testing. Just pick your system architechure (i386 or x86_64). The testing version is kernel-2.6.19-1.2895.fc6.
