Exclamation HELP! Wrong Resolution Screen goes blank!

Help,
I accidentally set the wrong resolution on my FC5 machine.. Now I cannot use the machine. IT runs, but as soon as X loads the screen goes blank.. The Resolution is out of sync with the monitor. How do I reset the resolution to 1024x768 using rescue? I can't login as the screen goes black and my monitor cannot sync.

I can't login remote because I have all that turned off..

Can I fix this problem without having to reinstall?

I can't upgrade to FC6 because it's an old machine and does not have the horsepower for 6.

Thanks!

Screen Resolution set too high..

Does anyone now how to fix this? Is there a way it can be done or am I screwed?
With the resolution set too high I can't do anything. All I need to do is set it back to 1024x768 or 1280x1024 and it will be back to normal.. But how?

Please help.

try to hit CTRL+ALT+F1 using 2 fingers and login as root,
make a backup copy of your current X settings

cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.bad

and edit it

nano -w /etc/X11/xorg.conf

and edit screen section to the original ones.
