Creating a Logical Volume From Extra HD's

I've been trying to set up a server using 4 IDE HD's using Logical Volumes.

I tried to use the installation to encompass all 4 HDs at the once to create one large volume, however when i created This Fedora Complained. What i have done was install the installation on a single 10 gig Drive, with the other 3 disconnected. Now i have the other three installed

I am looking to take the remaining three Drives, and create 1 Logical Volume out of the remaining 3 Drives. I'm a bit of a newbie to Disk management with Fedora, Can anyone give me a help with creating a logical volume with three additional hard drives after a fedora core installation?

It's a fedora Core 4 installation

WOW, LVM is for the immortals, so that excludes me right of the get go. I am not sure where you would find it in Gnome but in KDE there is a utility in the Administration menu called Logical Volume Manager which maybe of some help to you. It seems to be able to do this type of thing. Of course this come with a disclaimer because I have not used it yet myself. Try this in Gnome terminal

system-config-lvm
you will probably need to be su also. and if that doesn't work you can find it here

/usr/bin/system-config-lvm
Oh yeah before I forget this is on FC6 so I am not sure if you would need to do some installing on your FC4 system.
