Bind actions to keyboard additional keys?

I have a usb keyboard that has volume control keys + mute and I was wondering if on KDE I could bind them to do the correct actions. Could anyone help me with that?

Hello:
I don't know if this is exactly what you are looking for, however, it may be a good starting point.

Well I started by looking at kmix. That didn't have any way to increase, decrease, or mute via commands, so that method wouldn't work anyway. But for kicks, I checked out that section. When I tried to bind a command to one of the special keys, when I pushed the key, it stoped waiting for a command, but it did not record any key as being pushed.
