When the graphical system is running, try the xrandr command to see what
resolutions your X server thinks your card can do:
Code:
$> xrandr
SZ: Pixels Physical Refresh
*0 1280 x 1024 ( 363mm x 272mm ) *85 75 60
1 1280 x 960 ( 363mm x 272mm ) 85 60
2 1280 x 800 ( 363mm x 272mm ) 85 75 70 60
3 1600 x 1200 ( 363mm x 272mm ) 75 60 70 65 85
4 1152 x 864 ( 363mm x 272mm ) 75 100 85 70 60
5 1152 x 768 ( 363mm x 272mm ) 55
6 1024 x 768 ( 363mm x 272mm ) 85 75 70 60 87
7 800 x 600 ( 363mm x 272mm ) 85 75 72 60 56 70 65
and so on. The "*" shows my X is running at 1280x1024 85 and it can
do all those other resolutions and refreshes. Then you can try
any of those other ones by using the -s flag:
will tell it to try 800x600
for example.
