Annoying Window Behavior

Hi Everyone. I'm new to Fedora 6 and to Linux. I just downloaded and installed Fedora 6 about 2 days ago. I noticed that whenever I launch an application, the window always opens up in the top left corner of my desktop, and the title bar is always under the panel. I've moved the window to where I would like to see it but when I close and reopen, it goes back to the same place.

Is there anyway to change this behavior?

Sounds like you have "desktop effects" enabled.
If so try beryl instead:

yum install beryl-gnome -y

run beryl manager to launch it.
