In what repo?
I know there is a FC4 live cd with zoneminder, but it's a old version.
I feel uncomfertable leaving my apartment after having som visitors robbing me while I was in japan enjoying life for a few days.

Once I'm away longer then 4 hours I start to worry and a few cameras would lift a burdon off my back.

Not all rpm repos are compatiable with each others. I learn my lessons the hard way before

Call me a nerd, but I always prefer to compile my own software unless they are very popular or non-critical. For you can compile the latest stable version, rpm release tend to take some time, and the compiled version generally run faster / more efficient becaue it is optimised for that particular computer.

try:

http://localhost/ZoneMinder/zm.php

Do you have SELinux enables? Good security feature, but its a know trouble maker for most users. I had it disabled on all of my boxes, may not be the best way to do things, but I dont have the time to figure out the right way yet.

I got it working after changing the apache katalog from /var/www into /usr/share/zoneminder/www

and disable the selinux.

Now I got only two problems. Streaming dont work. I go to options---images:
"ZM_CAN_STREAM AUTO"
"ZM_STREAM_METHOD MPEG"
"ZM_MPEG_LIVE_FORMAT MPEG"
"ZM_MPEG_REPLAY_FORMAT MPEG"
"ZM_OPT_MPEG FFMPEG"
"ZM_PATH_FFMPEG /usr/bin/ffmpeg"

My second problem is I can not reatch the console from the web. Port 80 in the router is open, selinux and firewall disabled.

If you are using firefox, dont bother with ffmpeg for now, it should work via a set of jpg images.

do port forwarding from your router? try access it from a remote location, some routers dont support loopbacks that well.
