I am a newbie from the word go. I'm an old dos user and took awhile to switch to windows. Now I am looking at changing to linux. I have Fedora on this machine and kubutu on a server. My problem witht his machine is the wireless network connection. So far I like it.

I really hope this will work. I've installed the fglrx for Fedora 9 on my notebook and the screen crashes every time I enable the compiz. it turns out black and the only thing I can do is to restart my computer and the first thing that happens is that I receive a message about sending a bug to kernelops.

Is the "admin password", asked for on the show box of amolt, the same as root password? If not what is it?

Updated Smolt Profile because of a new motherboard and memory.
I love Fedora. I moved my hard drive from my old machine to this one, and it just worked. Try *that* with Windows!
Picked up every device, including my HD sound card, ExtremeFX II. I now have audio in HD.
