Post LogWatch not sending mail

HI guys, I am using Fedora Core 6. I am not receiving emails notificactions about the logs using logwatch, I have edited /etc/aliases/ and introduced my mail in root: and then in a terminal I executed newaliases.

What does your /var/log/mail say?

in /var/log/mail/ i have ony one file: statistics that it is unreadable. There is nothing else in /var/log/mail/

Different approach: In /var/log there is a file called mail what does it say
