how to make directory contents viewable in browser?

I wish to make images & other contents listed within a directory world-viewable by clicking their link.
I've seen it, but can't do it.

Thanks

You can write something in PHP to do it.

Check around the PHP scripting sites and you may find something. If not buy a book on PHP and write it yourself.

Maybe this would do.

If I understand you correctly, what you're talking about can be achieved by a combination of file permissions and web server (Apache) configuration. Read Apache documentation and tutorials.

you could edit /etc/httpd/conf.d/welcome.conf then apache would default to showing the directory contents as long as no index.* files exist..

maybe this is what u need. c link below..

demo view here this link is only valid till my ip renews...
